it has been a long while since i've posted anything. likewise, my prayers have been far and few in between. i have been sooo discouraged about my relationship with God this past year. such a strain between Father and daughter... i turned my back on Him when i should have listened to all He had to say. the further i ran from him, the worse things got. the more i sinned and hurt myself, the more i cried, and cursed Him. i tried to do things my way... i struggle every day now, one half wants to come back, the other is afraid to face what i've done. i pray now that my Father will take back his prodigal daughter...

So my dad went to a family reunion without me (ugh!) and he told me that he met this guy and his wife who are Adventist and went to Cuba for ministry.. The guy is my 3rd cousin.. and I thought I was the only one in my family that's an Adventist. I'm pretty happy :o) They actually have kids that are around my age. And they don't live that far. How cool is that?

today I found out one of my friend's brother is in the hospital because he has a count of high white blood cells in his body and he might have cancer, so I bring my friend and his family forward to God for a prayer request. Can you all please keep them in your prayers. I pray that God will be with them and comfort them in this bad time.

Hey ppl, wutz^
Alright... so I tried posting some thoughts and stuff... and bringing the community back to normal so people could comment and write, but I guess noone was really interested in doing that... so i would like to let you know, that the community adventist
is now an open community... Those of you who would like to go, and participate in a more active community are more than welcomed to do so...
Although I will post here, from time to time... I will participate more on the other one...  Hope to see you there...

The Lines of Purpose [Jun. 18th, 2005|08:20 pm]

"The lines of purpose in your lives never grow slack, tightly tied as they are
to your future in heaven, kept taut by hope." Col. 1:5 (The Message)

I've never thought of the "lines of purpose" in my life as a life line before, a
life line that ties us to Christ and to heaven. But it is this faith in Christ
that indeed ties us tightly to heaven. For without faith in Christ, we would be
blown about with no real purpose in our lives. And it is hope that keeps that
line tight and us secure in Him. For where there is no hope there is no future.
Hopelessness fills this world and we see people wander aimlessly through it
filled with despair, with no hope for their future. How different it is for the
Christian! Not only is he tied to Christ by faith, but hope keeps that tie
secure and taut. We have not only hope for the future and a heavenly home, but
hope for each hour of each day. We have a hope that is based on knowing that
Christ will be there for us each step of the way. Our future is shining bright
because Christ is our future and while we are tied securely to Him, nothing can
dim that hope.

Philippians 4:13 [May. 30th, 2005|08:07 pm]

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop
called Confusion,
speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called
Family.
You will have flats called Jobs.

But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance,
insurance called Faith,
a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU!

Maranatha!

Love Never Fails [May. 27th, 2005|11:58 am]

"Love never fails." 1 Corinthians 13:8

Max Lucado writes of this verse in his book, A Gentle Thunder: "God's love never ceases. Never. Though we spurn him. Ignore him. Reject him. Despise him. Disobey him. He will not change. Our evil cannot diminish his love. Our goodness cannot increase it. Our faith does not earn it anymore than our stupidity jeopardizes it. God doesn't love us less if we fail or more if we succeed. God's love never ceases."

God's love made Calvary a reality. God's love gave us Christ so that we might exchange our filth for riches. God's love goes above and beyond anything imaginable, because God's love is Agape: unconditional, selfless, seeking the best for the one it reaches. That's what God's love is all about, not seeking what is best for Himself, but seeking what is best for each of us. Remember the story of the prodigal son? The father's love did not depend on a son that did the right things, the father's love waited, hoped and prayed for his son's return. God is just that kind of Father. He loves us no matter where we have been, no matter where we may go. His love for us will never end. No matter our own failures, His love is waiting for us. And when we come home, His love will take us in His arms and hold us close. His love will be there to see us through all the tough times in our lives. His love will be there to rejoice with us in the good times. His love will be there to pick us up when we fall down. His love will be there when we are weary, to give us hope. His love will be there always, for his love never ceases; it never ends. It is something we can always depend on. God's love never fails. It's a promise you can count on!
